CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES

Zucchero in Concert

At SAPPHIRE 2008, there's a time to work – and a time to enjoy.

Throughout the three days, and especially at our networking events, you'll have the pleasure of meeting with colleagues and peers from organizations around the world. You can also take advantage of all the historic yet cutting-edge culture that the city of Berlin has to offer.

And on Tuesday night, May 20, SAPPHIRE will come alive with a private concert by a legendary performer: Zucchero.

Adelmo Fornaciari started his musical career in 1970. By this time, he was already known as "Zucchero," a nickname given to him by one of his school teachers.

Zucchero is now one of the most famous Italian artists worldwide. His music has reached number one several times on the European and American charts, including "Senza una Donna" (duet with Paul Young), "Baila Morena" (Sexy Thing), and "Diamante." He is also featured on duets and collaborations with many international stars, including Luciano Pavarotti, Eric Clapton, Paul Young, Sheryl Crow, and B. B. King, among many others. In addition, he is known by his collaborations with humanitarian initiatives such as the 46664 and Live 8 concerts.

In 2008, Zucchero comes to Berlin during his European tour to light up SAPPHIRE. Join us in an unforgettable evening with this unique European artist.
